We stayed in a small double pod for two nights, kinda surprised by the ample space and comfort. The provided earplugs were much appreciated due to the thin walls. You can definitely hear your neighbors. Enjoying dinner around the irori fireplace was a highlight. Location is fantastic for exploring Hakone, especially with the nearby onsen and popular attractions. Finding an onsen that permits tattoos was a bit tricky, with the nearest public one requiring a 45-minute bus ride. The facilities were all great, but the lockers in the dorm need to be bigger to accommodate larger luggage comfortably. I wished I had known to bring additional meat for the BBQ, as the food options could've been better for the price. It was a cozy and inviting experience, perfect for meeting other travelers.

Was a lovely place for trip. The food was INCREDIBLE and there were a great selection of dishes in the menu. Comforts of family king room with tatami mats were fabulous. The hotel was close enough to other museums like Lalique/Sengokuhara Susuki Grassfields, the bus stop and Hakone Open Air Museum and the railway station and cable car thanks to its marvellous and stunning location. Also, the venue was near Figure I.

Super clean facilities despite a few minor quirks, like the vintage toilet. The communal areas invite conversation, perfect for mingling with fellow travelers in a cozy atmosphere.
Could really use a refresh-some rooms feel cramped and outdated. Thin walls make it tough to snooze with noise from next door, and basic showers lack any modern flair.

Beautiful venue, superb bar area, magnificent location in the dorm area. Good staff, airy, perfect rooms with beds or tatami mattresses. Location near is right next to the open air museum, major attractions, the train station, and funicular station and the open air museum in Hakone which is a wonderful excursion. 5 minutes' walk to a private museum. A memorable way to end my trip.

Loved the unique, cozy room and the delicious dinner experience around the irori fireplace! The relaxing communal area was perfect for kicking back, and the shared kitchen had all I needed for breakfast. Just a heads up, it was a bit noisy at times, but that didn't dampen the vibe at all 😊
